Engineering the Future

Engineer your Future @ VHS

Beginning in the fall of 2018, Valley High School will be the home of a new APS magnet school designed for students who are interested in engineering and computer science. This will be a school within a school and will be open to incoming freshmen, as well as any student who applies for transfer while space is available.

Made possible by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Engineering the Future will cultivate engineering habits of mind such as problem-solving, creativity, optimism, persistence and collaboration. Students will explore and apply the design process in all core classes. The academic emphasis will be on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

Students who live in Valley’s attendance area will be given priority in attendance, then the remaining space will be open to students throughout the city. If you are interested more information on this exciting learning opportunity for students beginning with the Class of 2022, please complete the VHS STEM Interest form so we can contact you.
